Our Doctors
Our medical practice includes four physicians, all board-certified members in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as two ultrasound technicians.
Roy M. Brooks
Dr. Brooks has been in practice with Contemporary OB/GYN Associates, LLC since 1989. In 1982, he received his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed his residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York in 1986.
Andrew B. Block
Dr. Block began practicing medicine with Contemporary OB/GYN Associates in 1991. Dr. Block received his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1980. He attended Temple University School of Medicine where he completed six advanced biology courses post Baccalaureta studies in 1982. Dr. Block remained at Temple University; where he received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1987 and went on to complete his internship and residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in 1991.
Julie G. Glass
Dr. Glass joined Contemporary OB/GYN Associates in 1989. She graduated in 1980 from Tufts University in Medord, Massachusetts with her Bachelor of Science in Biology, majoring in Biological Basis of Behavior. She received her Doctorate of Medicine in 1985 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Glass completed her residency and internship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland in 1989.
Ronald D. Jacobs
Dr. Jacobs joined Contemporary OB/GYN Associates in 2013. He has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in the Silver Spring area since 1986. Dr. Jacobs received his Bachelors of Science in Zoology from The University of Maryland, College Park in 1978. He attended The University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, graduating with Honors in 1982. Dr. Jacobs completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Honors included being Chief Resident in 1986, and being voted The Best Teaching Resident by the medical students.
